Your child deserves the very best, and by choosing Little Flippers Swim School, you can be confident they’ll get it.
And now, we’re proud to share that Little Flippers is now part of the Emler Swim School family, a national family of more than 15 trusted swim school brands. This partnership brings together over 400 years of combined teaching experience and the expertise from more than 100 million lessons taught across the country.
While our network has grown, the heart of your lessons hasn’t changed. You’ll still see the same caring instructors you know, trust and love.
You will, however, notice the instructors’ adoption of SwimSure™, the gold standard in swim lesson curriculum that unites the strongest, most proven practices in safe swim education with play- and milestone-based learning.
Designed to help every swimmer grow stronger, safer, and more confident in the water, SwimSure™ is a teaching philosophy rooted in safety, progress, confidence, and care. It’s the gold standard of swim instruction that ensures every lesson is consistent, child-centered, and filled with a splash of love.
Little Flippers Swim School was founded with a simple but powerful purpose: to help keep children safe in the water and build confidence through early swim education.
After learning of multiple tragic drowning incidents involving young children in Massachusetts, founder Sally Poveromo, M.Ed., set out to create a better way to teach kids to swim. Drawing on her background in movement education and partnering with her husband, a former collegiate swimmer and diver, she researched leading swim programs across the country and developed a specialized learn-to-swim model designed specifically for infants, toddlers, and children.
Since opening its first location in 2012, Little Flippers has remained committed to providing high-quality, safety-focused swim instruction in a warm, supportive environment. Today, that mission continues as part of the Emler Swim School family, where proven curriculum and a shared belief in swimming as a life skill guide everything we do.
Our school is designed with families in mind – clean, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Parents can relax while watching their children learn and celebrate each new milestone.
Whether it’s your child’s first lesson or their tenth level, we’re proud to provide an environment that’s as safe and supportive as it is fun.
Crystal-Clear Water, Crystal-Clear Care
Safety is at the heart of everything we do, both in our teaching and in how we care for our pools.
Our pool is chlorinated and sanitized with ultraviolet (UV) technology, an advanced, non-chemical process that uses germicidal light to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and organic matter. This ensures the water stays clean, clear, and gentle on swimmers’ skin and eyes.
Our team managers check and balance pool chemistry every four hours, and our sand filtration systems work alongside UV sanitizers to keep the water sparkling clean and healthy.
At Little Flippers, your child is in good hands. Safe in the pool with SwimSure™, happy with beloved instructors, cozy in warm, clear and clean pools, and happy in every splash they make.
Little Flippers Swim School specializes in swim lessons for infants, toddlers, and young children, with a strong focus on water safety, comfort, and confidence. Our programs are designed specifically for young learners and taught in a warm, welcoming environment that helps children feel secure from their very first class.
We believe early swim education is one of the most important steps families can take to protect their children around water. Through gentle instruction, small class sizes, and age-appropriate skill progression, Little Flippers helps children build essential water safety skills while developing confidence and independence in the pool.
As part of the Emler Swim School family, Little Flippers combines a proven curriculum with experienced instructors who are trained to work with young children.
